For 6 weeks I've been trying to get someone in the body of Christ to help us
build a shed and do yardwork.
The Bible says we are to help each other. Yet no one has the time. Gosh, I'm even willing to pay! The Bible says we are to help those in need. Yet no one has the time. I think ALL those who call themselves Christian, should help others out a minimum of 8 hours a month. That is NOT that much time. We should be on call for those that need help and we should NOT judge each other if there's a man in the house. I am SO sick of Christians not helping each other for whatever reason. If a church got 4 men available on one Saturday morning a month, or even an evening when it's light out, for 4 hours to help say, us, the work would all be done. Families are important and yes, we should and need too, spend time with our families, however taking 4 hours on a Saturday isn't going to hurt or kill anyone. And it will be a good witness to those around. Doesn't anyone wonder WHY people go to Mormonism or bars? Because Mormons all believe ONE thing, they don't argue about it, so they can get on with other things; and others are in bars because when they need help with something at their home, they can find people willing to help. Although Christians should, they do NOT have a corner on helping others. It's usually the non-Christian. For that, we need to change and ask forgiveness, both of those that ask for help and God.
