It breaks my heart when people say, 'God impressed me to do this first thing in the morning', even before praying. Or,
My life has to come first, or, I don't have time to read the Bible, [yet they're on the computer or whatever]. We all do it at some point. However,
If we put God first in our lives, he will order our days.
If we put God first in our finances, by tithing and giving offerings, God will take care of us financially. Steve and I are living proof of that!
God asks for only 1/10th of your money. God doesn't NEED it, but YOU need to give it to get the promises God has given us if we give it! What are they? The Lord will keep the devourer away from our doors, is one. He will provide for us is another.
And what about our time? Surely 15 or 30 minutes out of our day isn't going to steal something so precious you can't get it back is it? In fact, giving God that 15 or 30 minutes of your day will increase the time you have to get things accomplished. And best of all, it will remind you of Who is Lord and Who is in charge of your day. And it gives God permission to lead and guide you that day.
It just breaks my heart when people say, 'oh, I can't stop to pray, I have too much to do!'
or
'I can't give 10%, I have bills to pay!'
or
'I can't give any money in the offering, I won't have enough to buy coffee!'
Who GAVE you that money, job, income in the first place? Who allows you to keep it in this day and age?
It just breaks my heart when people ignore God, yet say they are Christians.
