I have been asking God if He would help me understand His love. I asked that back in Dec. 2008 and for the last month, God has been showing me HOW He loves me. So many people say, 'God loves me, God loves you'. I've known God loves me since 2002, from camping in a monsoon. If it's not on here I'll have to put it on sometime.

So little by little the Lord has been showing and telling me HOW he loves me.

  1. First, God told me to get off sugar about 1 or 2 years ago. I realized FINALLY, He didn't tell me to get off sugar because He has it in for me! He told me because He LOVES me and wants the best for me. He wants me healthy and He knows how to get me healthy. He actually told me to eat the way the Israelites did. And since I live in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, there's nothing from stopping me from having organic lettuce/salads all year long. Here it is Jan. 15, 2009 and I'm eating lettuce, dandelion leaves and chickweed from my garden. Fresh and organic.


  2. Then the other night I was praying and asking God to forgive me for fighting with Steve about whatever it was. I asked God to take this mess and give me back something good. Then that song came to mind. 'He gives me, beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. That we might, be trees of righteousness, planted by the Lord. THAT HE MAY BE GLORIFIED'. And I REALIZED!!!

    OHMYGOSH The Lord [God] Jesus [Jesus] Christ [Holy Spirit] loves me SO MUCH, HE sent HIS Son to die for ME, so *I* may have eternal life with HIM. So I may be holy, so *I* would have forgiveness. GOD takes the UGLINESS of my life...my words, my actions, my deeds, my thoughts and GIVES ME BEAUTY, OIL OF JOY, GARMENT OF PRAISE, LAUGHTER, PEACE, KINDNESS..the list goes on. GOD gives me all this when I give HIM sin and ugliness.


  3. The Bible says God's words to us are yes and amen. The Bible says God joys over us with singing! The Bible says I am the apple of His eye! AND, since the Bible teaches us how to live and what to do, and WHO we can depend on, the Bible really IS His love letter to us.


  4. Friend, God is not an ogre in the sky waiting to bash your fingers when you are holding on for dear life. God is not your earthly father. God is NOTHING like us. The Bible says His words are not our words and His thoughts are not our thoughts. GOD IS FOR ME. GOD HAS MY BEST INTERESTS AT HEART. And ALL this is true for you too!!!!!
I was telling God how much I love Him and said 'words don't do enough, what can I do'? Just like being in love with a human, there are ways to SHOW someone we love them. For God, it's obedience. God wants me to be obedient to His Word.

I am still learning about God's love and how He loves me. It's an awesome feeling, like being wrapped in a warm blanket fresh from the dryer, warm and snuggly, then hugged by someone you love and who you know, loves you. Thankyou God for these revelations. Keep them coming please, until I am thoroughly saturated with the understanding and feeling of Your love.
