Today, May 21, 2004, I got a book off my bookshelf called 'The Power of the Blood', by H. A. Maxwell Whyte. A few things jumped out at me while I am reading the first chapter. First, I was raised a Catholic and taught the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary and she became 'with child'. Pregnant with Jesus. However, I was NEVER taught that the Holy Spirit PLACED the whole make up of Jesus in her womb. The Holy Spirit did not give Mary His sperm, He placed the body of Jesus, made up of cells and the LIFE Blood in Mary. Mary's blood did not co-mingle with her baby's blood, Jesus has no Adamic blood in Him. WOW. What a revelation for me! I have ALWAYS thought the Holy Spirit 'overshadowed Mary' by giving her His 'sperm' so to speak. That is NOT true. The Holy Spirit put the whole body of the baby of Jesus in Mary. The body in cell form which grew in Mary. If this is not true, then the Blood would not heal, would not save. But the Blood DOES heal. The Blood of Jesus IS....l-i-f-e. Regenerated and renewed LIFE. If this Blood is not flowing through my veins, then I have no afterlife with Jesus. It gets there by my confessing I am a sinner and asking the Lord to come in to my heart. It's the Blood that washes me clean. When I take communion every morning, I am taking the figurative body and Blood of Jesus. This protects me through the day. It reminds ME of the covenant that Jesus Christ made when He died on the cross. And it is as if I am reminding God of His covenant with me. This, from the book. "When we receive Jesus, the Bible declares the *heart* is cleansed by the Blood of Jesus. This may be more literal than some would dare to believe. If the sin which is in our bloodstream is purged and all spiritual filth is washed out, then certainly the very heart which pumps the blood may be spoken of as being cleansed. By the miracle of salvation, we receive both eternal life and the divine HEALTH of the Son of God. The greatest disinfectant in the world is the Blood of Jesus Christ. It carries the eternal life of God in it. Isn't this EXCITING?! Satan's nickname of Beelzebub, means "Lord of the flies", or "Prince of the flies". Dead blood will quickly attract to itself flies, which will breed corruption in the coagulating blood, but the Blood of Jesus has exactly the opposite effect, it repulses Beelzebub and all his demons. When you put the Blood of Jesus on something by faith, Satan will flee because the Blood of Jesus is ALIVE. The life is in the Blood. Yesterday, I purposed in my heart, which means to agree with myself, to promise myself, that I was not going to watch the one, last soap opera I've been watching. I quit watching the other two, 1 because it was SO adulterous and the other because it got into witchcraft. Because soap operas have infidelity in them. They are ripe with characters that have sex outside of marriage, that murder, steal, etc. They portray some of the real world, but it's always the seamy side. I watched them when I lived with my grandmother, and I watched the 'Luke and Laura' part of General Hospital back when. Then I quit. I started again in the year 2000. They are not uplifting, they don't make me feel better about myself and they don't teach me anything. They pass the time, waste time and eat up time. I can read a book to pass the time and I have much more to do than to waste time! I had a GREAT day yesterday! I watched the 700 Club and God healed my feet! The bunions don't hurt anymore and the part that was swollen and hurt when I walked does NOT HURT anymore! I RAN yesterday, the first time in SEVEN months! I am healed! I am whole ~ through Jesus' Blood!!!! This is way more than I would have received from watching a soap opera. Or filling my mind with something that is not good. I FEEL better when I fill my mind and spirit with the Spirit of God. When I watch Christian t.v., and read books on God or books that are good-for-me books. That book says 'when you put the Blood of Jesus on something by faith, Satan will flee because the Blood of Jesus is alive. The life is in the Blood. I put the Blood of Jesus in my life every morning, because I take communion every morning. There really IS power in the Blood. I will write more after I read more. Back
